Lots of people eating there, so we decided to try it. It was very good indeed! They served a huge portion of it. The pulled pork reminded me of Hawaii's luau pork. The service is very good with friendly staff.
All in All a great experience although it got off to a bit of a rocky start. With all the Covid stuff, and they were a bit short handed causing initial confusion and concern, which can happen to anyone....... we stuck it out and glad we did. The "Cream Corn & Green Chile" side was absolutely Crazy good, as were the Cheesy Grits and the complementary Home Made BBQ Chips. Baked beans were very good but a bit to catchupy sweet for us.....Beer was cold and the folks were very friendly!!!!!!!! 4 Beers, 2 dinners each with two sides and some yummy Chips for $58.22 plus tip.
Not saying Canada doesn't have good BBQ, but as a Canadian visiting West Yellowstone, this BBQ hit the spot and was very excellent. We had the sausage, brisket and ribs. Everyone enjoyed their meal immensely with great service and quick.Tons of food. Very large portions and the "local-ish" beer on tap was very good. If we ever make it back to this area we will be back.
great place for pulled pork sandwich, nice atmosphere...
Great Service and friendly staff. Food wait was a minimal. Mad Dog sandwich was great! Corn bread and cheesy grits was amazing! Our large group all the food came out at the same time.
Very quick and excellent service of all home made items. Delicious BBQ chips and brisket; you can't go wrong!
Seriously delicious barbecue. My girlfriend and I stopped there today and were blown away. The ribs had perfect char, the brisket had great smoke flavor, and the pulled pork was awesome too. The fried pickle appetizer was the perfect way to kick things off as well. We will for sure be back!
We got in 30 minutes before closing and food and service was still amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious and in a timely manner! Great barbecue in town with friendly environment! Highly recommend.
Really big portions. Food is very good. Not greasy (or as greasy as you would expect from brisket and pork). The grits and beans were delicious. Fast, courteous service and good beer.
I’m from Texas and BBQ from all over usually disappoints, but this place was delicious and had some of the best customer service we’ve had traveling, even though we came in two minutes before closing time. Can’t wait to come eat here again while visiting Yellowstone.
Amazing chopped brisket. The BBQ sauce was one of the best I've ever had. I even bought a bottle to go home.
Excellent service, fantastic food, fast and delicious! Best food in town.
Had the ribs, they were excellent. Friendly service.
Very comfortable and the servers are very nice. Good food and a good time!
I would rate it less than 3. A lot of the reviews said that the meat tasted good, it was tender for sure but will no special spices or smoky flavor to it, some do like mild flavor, if you are looking for more then this is not for you. We ordered the veniger coleslow, some complained about it because it doesn't taste like the regular coleslow, it is more like pickled, has veniger taste to it and it was grinded very very fine. The cheese gratin had no taste to it. The green chili corn and BBQ chips were tasty. We ordered sausage and cubed brisket and pulled pork based on reviews. Covid19 measures in this restaurant was poor. Staff is not wearing make although I asked to, manager gave me the "hard to breathe" excuse, the waitress didn't respect my request to maintained a distance, service was poor and the place was indoor with not enough ventilation, if my kids weren't that hungry and the town want busy I would have left.
Very expensive for what you get. I don't recommend. 2 sad faces
No lie I've had the best BBQ from California, to Utah, to Texas, New York, and down to Florida and I have to say this was the best BBQ I've had. Great service, great food and fun atmosphere. They catered to my kids and still the food was the best. I had Ribs and brisket. Brisket wasn't dry. Ribs were perfect (a lil spicy for my kids, but perfect for me).
Great place for barbecue. Def recommended if you visit West Yellowstone. Staff is warm and a good ambience with country and rock music. Great local beers
Yummm! Try it all. A bit more than what I normally pay for bbq but its right outside Yellowstone. Kids loved it too
Meet some friends in town for dinner and despite Covid restrictions our party of 6 was seated promptly (spacing, masks and sanitizing of tables and chairs were done on every table while we dined in). Wait staff was great and generous portions were given. The brisket was good and sausage was perfect- good indicators of a decent BBQ place. "Kiki" and the rest of the staff did a great job during these difficult times in a tourist destination. Be patient and enjoy the meal they will prepare for you.
Best service we've had in West Yellowstone. Generous portions and good flavor.
For the price you don't get much, but it is good...
Very good BBQ! That coming from people that grew up in BBQ country (Tennessee). Great service and hospitality.
Food was over priced and tasted horrible. Cole slaw was the nastiest tasting thing I ever tried
The brisket and cole slaw was so good the first night that we came back a second night! Cole slaw is very unique, it's not sweet and I wasn't sure if I liked it at first but it grows on you. The potato salad was pretty bland the first night and we don't like beans or grits so we just got double slaw the second night.I'm not sure why they even bother with the bread, it's just a slice of wonder white bread, not toasted or anything. I guess some people like it but for us it gets pushed to the side and thrown away.We even bought a bottle of their BBQ sauce to bring home, it's pretty good! When we go back to Yellowstone, the Beartooth brisket will be on the list for dinner again.
Best Barbecue I have ever eaten and I've eaten a lot of Barbecue!! I love Barbecue that you don't need bbq sauce for it to be flavorful. It had so much flavor! My daughter and I got the two meat combo (sliced brisket & pulled pork) with two added ribs. Sides were potato salad and jalapeno corn. It was all Amazing! Service was great and we were seated and had our food fairly quick. Well worth your time if you go to West Yellowstone!
Great ribs, super friendly staff and the sides are better than most places. The vegetable offerings really gave this place that last star, especially the cowboy caviar and tabbouleh salad. I highly recommend both.
Brisket sandwich was like eating beef jerky in a bun
Food was great, waitress was great...got the chopped brisket sandwich...super yummy!
Fabulous food. Great service. And the wait time was next to nothing. I would recommend ten times over
Staff was fine and friendly. Food was not very good at all. Friend pickles and pulled pork were not good. Baked cheese grits were pretty decent.
It is a good restro. We loved their food - 2 pulled chicken burger with fries, baked beans and pickles with cokes ($26.72). Liked their rustic ambience and friendly waitress. For us baked beans was way too sweet but their homemade bbq sauce was great !
Not Terrible. But definitely not good. I would NOT suggest this place to friend. If you have ever had Good or half way descent BBQ. You would be disappointed with this place. I mean, even the corn bread sucked! How is that even possible?
One happy camper, after a long day in Yellowstone I was starving. I ordered the pull pork sandwich and it was delightful. Great service and clean atmosphere. Perfect spot for some BBQ
Great place to eat after spending all day in Yellowstone! The food is so Damn amazing, very mouth watering! the staff were so awesome and friendly, I’m definitely coming back next summer!
This place is a wonderful little slice of barbecue goodness in an unexpected place! They have awesome food! We had the sliced brisket, smoked sausage, pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, baked beans and the cornbread muffins. Everything was fantastic, and definitely recommended!!! The wait staff are so nice and personable (even when customers are being testy! Lol). Loved the food, and you wont be disappointed!
Great food. Had the pulled pork dinner plate with vinegar coleslaw and baked beans. Coleslaw different but really yummy, tart and garlicky. Seems family owned, kids helped serve, very sweet!
The food was decent. But our bill came with a mandatory 15% tip. When I inquired about it, the waitress simply said they do this to every customer, which I can’t confirm. Eventually she did say if I didn’t like it she can change it.15% is not unreasonable, but I don’t feel like being forced to tip a certain amount. This should be my own decision.
I recently had a late lunch on a cold drizzling fall day with 10 family members. We had a great variety off the menu, pulled pork, the stew special, homemade sausages, brisket and more. We really enjoyed everything we ordered. The homemade bbq sause was especially good. It was nice to have a place with obvious gluten free options. And the service was fantastic. Thank you for the lovely hospitality and delicious meal.
Great food, fast and friendly service! The brisket was very tender - didn't need a knife to cut it (the real test)! Seemed like they had a shorter wait time than a lot of other restaurants in town.
Great food, good service. We had a large group of 9 including 5 kids that came after a long day of site seeing in Yellowstone. My husband and I shared the 2 meat bbq plate and got the pulled pork and brisket with beans and fries. Everything was delicious. I would definitely go back.
Really small restaurant. The menu matches the size of the restaurant too. $3 for water, meats were dry and the slaw was bad too.
Amazing BBQ and the best service ever! Thank you Kiki!!! You were the best!
If you're a big fan of barbecue, it would be good. I'm not the biggest fan, though. It wasn't bad food, it was just overpriced for the quality of it. It's a very informal restaurant with prices for a slightly more formal setting (like olive garden). The food definitely didn't feel healthy, so that made me like it a little less. The service, however, was great!
Four of us are at Beartooth last night. Let's start with the beer - 10 or so local beers, and a bunch of others. The BBQ was excellent, especially the pulled pork, but we also had the brisket and sausage (on Mad Dog sandwich). It was all excellent, but don't miss out on the pulled pork. The sides we're good - beans, cheese grits and cole slaw. The service was great and the prices we very reasonable.
Waited 10 minutes after being seated, didn't get a menu. Didn't even see a sign the waitress was going to acknowledge me. Went to Firehole BBQ instead. They have way better reviews anyway.
Excellent! Always wonderful service and amazing food! Just love coming here every time we're in the area! The loaded fries are HUGE! Four of us couldn't finish them off. Best brisket in town! Hands down!
Best sliced beef brisket I've ever had! Would take a picture but I ate it all ...
Great food, pleasant service.
